How do I get rid of this?

I don't know how this got in my craptop. But recently "Vista Smart Defender Pro" keeps popping on the bottom right of my screen saying I have a security threat. Like everything I seem to access the stupid program thinks its a threat. I can't even exit out of it without paying money to "REGISTER" my copy. So now this thing won't go away and it's annoying as fuck.

wich version of windows are you runnung and does you have an antivirus ?

It's a rogue. Meaning that if you DO pay, the creator of it will open up a credit card in your name. Try downloading some of the things that I listed in the forums (the one with security software.
Also, the fact that it installed itself and that it asks you to pay "threats" is an automatic sign it's a rogue.

End the process in Task Manager to get rid of the message for the mean time until you have gotten rid of it..

Yes, but the problem with TM is that most processes that are malicious can re run themselves.
Although, I'm not sure on this particular one.
