A forum about gaming in general won't go anywhere. There's just too many of them in this world. If you want to be the owner of a legit forum, you have to base it off a specific game. Preferably one that you made yourself.

If you truly wish to have a successful forum don't use Forumotion. As Red said there are too many generic gaming forums and too many of them use Forumotion

Yeah, I'd have to agree. However, forumotion has a bunch of awesome features, especially since it's a free forum. Like chatbox for instance. If you're going to create a forum, I'd say start out with something small (and free) and then if you're serious and have decent group of people join, then move to a new one that might cost and have extra features. Just make sure to set up the captcha's and/or a spam filter to avoid those tools that make money by crapping up forums.

Forumotion sux, don't bother.

Also, a generic gaming forum wont go anywhere. They're a dime a dozen nowadays.

Good luck though.

After a bit of hard work, the forum is now up and running, so come and have a look at it and tell me what to improve.

Improve that you're not going to get members, unless this is a clan forum just for you and your mates, you're really not going to get the members that you're looking for. People don't just become dedicated to a site easily, they need to see that it's active and it's worth signing up and that they can get involved in discussions. Your forum isn't going to offer that because it has no members, and spamming and advertising isn't going to get it to grow any faster..
