Hi all!
This is my first tutorial and I focus on Valve Hammer Editor, an updated version of the precious Worldcraft 3.3: D
Links at the end of post!
With this tool you have sun or moon, you can set the light intensity to your liking!
Well let's start with the configuration:
When you open VHE will get a window saying there is no configuration, you must click YES to start configuring. The Options window should appear.
To start you must select "game configurations" and follow the steps indicated by numbers.
First step.
Adding configuration and the nzp fgd to the VHE.
1 - Click edit button to add a configuration name, pressing edit another window will come out that we must press add button and add a name, I called NZP and click close.
2 - Click on the add button marked with a 2 and find the location of NZP.fgd, it is in the rar file unzip fgd folder, select the tab and proceed to build programs.
To continue with the second step, we must accept the changes before selecting Build Programs!
3 - Add folders of the game like this image ( your folder location of nzp game )
Second step.
Adding the build tools to VHE.
1 - Click on the buttons and find the game executable, we must make a copy and rename it to nzp because it can give errors when trying to compile the map.
2 and more - Click browse .. and this time we 4 files, all are in the rar to unpack for this tool, zhlt are in the folder for the selected CSG hlcsg.exe for hlbsp.exe BSP for VIS and RAD hlvis.exe hlrad.exe
Accept the changes made so far.
Final result
Step Three.
Adding textures to VHE.
Select the textures for the game is expendable because without them we can not create the map ...
To choose the textures always have to add zhlt.wad so we can have the texture and kurok.wad clip for game textures.
Almost everything is ready!
Now we need the last step.
Click on File -> New and File -> Save, save the file to change the necessary parameters.
Let's click on the button indicated in the picture below and change the following parameters where indicated:
Parametres to change.
1 - Click on the command line
2 - Change "$path\$file"in HLCSG NOT HLBSP!! to "-wadinclude kurok.wad $path\$file" without quotes.
3 and 4 Read the image.
Just click me for download VHE 3.5
Click Here to download the latest compilers!
Im testing the newest compilers, just read the last post by me here to see the changelog
Thanks for reading all mappers
