Myself and Dr_Mabuse have been changing this site and have implemented a few new things.
One of the first things you will notice right off the bat is that we have implemented a "points" and "reputation" system. To give someone rep there is a thing on the right side of their post which says "+,-". Points are given each time someone makes a thread in a specific section, posts in a specific section, gains a friend, posts in a certain area, etc. I have customized this system to the fullest. Anyone trying to "cheat" the system will face consequences.
Points can be used for a variety of different things, these include:
-Changing your name (Cost: 300 points)
-Adding a custom usertitle (Cost: 300 points)
-Changing the color of a custom usertitle (Cost: 150 points)
-Changing the font of a custom usertitle (Cost: 150 points)
-Changing the text of a custom usertitle (Cost: 150 points)
-Custom user icon (Cost: 400)
-Basic Html markup (Cost: 200 points)
-Marquee (Cost: 500 points)
To use these points you must make a request in the "Requests" section.
Each staff member (Administrators, Developers, Moderators) has been assigned a free usertitle which represents their current position on the site. Regular members have been assigned the usertitle "Member".
I have personally tooken the liberty of dividing the "Developers Maps" section into two separate sub-forums, "Active Mappers" and "Retired Mappers". This is to keeps things a tad more organized.
I have also added a section called "Trash Can". All locked threads will be moved into this section.
We have also added the ability to use signatures. Check your profile options for more details on that. Signatures that are too big will be removed. 400x200 pixels is the size limit.
We also gave a description to every section. Please read it before posting to clarify if you are posting in the right section.
We removed all the regular smilies and replaced them with 7 less annoying ones. This is being done to hopefully prevent over usage, we will be adding more though.
We have added an "Accounts" category. Feel free to take a look at the new sections inside it.
Added a "Work In Progress" section. Feel free to post your W.I.P's in there.
Added new forum Icons.
New members will now receive a "Welcome" private message which is basically a quick guide that teaches them what this site is about. And where to find things.
Added a few more smilies; if I see any smiley over-usage I will remove them
Added custom user icons for Developers, Administrators, Moderators.
Added multi-quote button icon, added quote button icon.
Added a Gfx category. Please take a look at the sections inside it.
Added custom user icons for Members and Leechers. It takes 10 points to advance from Leecher to Member.
Added a usergroup called "Loyal", added an icon for it as well.
