hey im having errors with shitty worldcraft so i decided to use hammer...
but i have a problem with getting the textures to wad3 file...
i have wally but any other way that works i would be very happy to hear from you...
if you know how to use wally can you explain please .... it would be very helpfull.

You drag the selected textures into the white field and click "Save as Quake Wad"

If it doesn't work, reply to this or go on Xat and I will try hard to help.

but when i make map and go to save the map i cant cuz thers no ADDITIONAL GAME PARAMETERS
AND I Cant save the map. can any1 help.... plz

the textures dont seem to work as when i add a texture to the map i see it properly on vhe and when i play it in nzp its just blocks in white and black.... asume its the stanndard 1 .!!!!!!!!!!!!


can some1 tell me how to get the textures to work... plz

Try using TXQBsp instead it might work

hlbsp compiler setup:



to include textures to your map use -nowadtextures

i am using hammer!...
when i load the map from hammer on nzp it says:

I had a problem with this for a while actually. On Hammer you need to have a box surrounding your map to get rid of the leaks. Since you have that box you'll need a light_environment entity to adjust the brightness of your map. Hammer can't start your map because the textures need to have a light_environment for adjusting the brightness. Try making the box around your map a skybox, then placing a light_environment. It should work, if it doesn't pm me and we'll get something figured out.

lol, you are try to compile your map with HLBSP settings but you are using the old Q1 compilers....

how do i use HLBSP compilers... can you give me a link or something and a way of instaling them properly...plz

http://www.slackiller.com/hlprograms.htm On that site scroll down 'til you see Zoner's Half Life Tools. Make sure you download the newer version. In the download you should get executable files that match the compiler build settings in Hammer. To set it up is simple, go to the compiler build settings and match the csg executable, vis executable etc...Btw upon getting a new compiler you'll have to re-enter your HLBSP settings.

i applied the programs that red said in the build program..


what do i need to do njext???
