Xat Smiley Spammers

I guess this can be the place for Mabuse to ban all stupid Xat spammers as I am totally frustrated with now (sub? frustrated with spam?omgnowayroflcoptersex) Yeah I'm dead serious. I "caught" 2 idiots spamming 1 with me 1 with Assassin (Dr.EdwardRichtophen)

well, i just wanted to say something about this on the xat, but i cant connect to it atm...
And tbh: i never liked xat, irc or the forum build in chat was much better than this teacup of shit...

Yeah so im not the only one who can't connect sometimes and now I am connected and guess what? It deleted old posts. IRC would be way better since while we play NZP we could have MIRC on too -.-

Yeah sure, NZP is a game so it should have an IRC channel and this could be the first. No annoying BEEEEEEP everytime someone joins/talks and no smiley spam plus the capability to have your browser closed and chat with others on MIRC or XChat.

although the warning was sent, we still have spammers...

I was under the impression everyone would bitch if I switched to IRC

i know that i wasnt on this forum when irc was in use. so i dont know what it is etc. I personally like "XAT" because it has many options such as mod, owner etc.
I know that spam is becoming a great issue due to a lot of "immature kids" joining this forum, but if some1 spams kick , then 1 spam more and ban. just "ban"

Thats what I always say, though once Drieze demoted me for banning spammers.....

Simple fix, more moderators for the chat.

On a side note: Xat is currently the best option available IMO, and honestly; do you think people will stop spamming just because we change chats? Xat gives us much more control and options.

Xat is nice lookin', IRC is bland. Why would we downgrade ourselves just because some people spam on xat?

If you honestly think that downgrading ourselves to IRC will reduce spam then I have nothing to say to you. If a better chat option (more features, better looks, overall better, etc) comes along then I would be all for changing.

But if not, why should we downgrade?

Xat is more brighter,sound notify, and the ability to have multiple mods and owners

The look of the IRC is based on the actual embedded web client. It is not dependent on IRC itself. One of the major beneficial factors of IRC is the extensive commands, multi channel support, and the many many bots offered. I love bots =/ Also you can connect to it via an outside client so your not stuck in browser. I might just throw up an IRC for mehself and link to it on the forum.

Adding to the point of bots for I did not go into detail of how they are advantegous. Bots can be set up to filter out certain phrases and respond in a way thats appropriate.

ex. Noob:How i get maps?
Bot: pms the guy "Do all this to get maps"

This makes it sound more noob friendly.... and will save our hands on wasted typing :P
