Microsoft just launched their new TABTOP trying to compete with both tablets and other desktops and laptops.

Specs for Windows 8 PCs and Laptops.

Pros:

USB 3.0

UEFI firmware: To prevent malware

Secure Boot

Still has the regular USER INTERFACE and a tablet user interface http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8e/Windows_8_Start_Screen.png http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/ee/Windows_8_release_preview_snapped_apps.png

Cons:

RAM: 1 GB (32-BIT) 2GB (64bit)

Microsoft only advertised the touch screen not it's capability.

Might not be compatible with 16-bit applications.

Windows Media Player will no longer support DVDs only third party DVDs.

Start Menu is different:

New Menu is more like Windows Phones and Tablets.

Overall Grade: A-

Oh how lovely they released another piece of shit windows
In my opinion I am not liking windows 8 on a Normal PC
Only because everything has to be done as if it were to be a Touch Screen
As for 16Bit support who really uses 16Bit apps today?Almost everything
you get on the net as a .exe is 32bit even Quake if you have Darkplaces
Also some are even 64Bit now.
And as for USB 3.0 just stick a PCI USB 3.0 add on Card into you're desktop
even at that some laptops come with USB 3.0 ports built in

I don't think this is necessarily a Con I think you might of got it mixed
up with system spec. requirements.

But I am just not liking Windows 8 new so called "Metro Styled" interface
I'll stick with XP,Vista or 7 for now
