It feels kinda weird posting in this section....

I was going to start mapping again with a new set up, I'm using the version of valve hammer that dr_mabuse posted about, Set up the compiler tools and made a small testing map but when I compile the map there are no textures

I even added a light to test all the compilers and I'm not sure what is wrong, I even tried -nowadtextures like fizzy suggested but that didn't work

Help?

Make sure it looks exactly like this, and that you're only using 1 wad.

those are the settings I use and it works seamlessly. VeryHappy

The exact same thing happened to me. I'll upload my version of VHE and IF what ScatterBox doesn't work then you should follow the setup I'll write right now. I hope this helps by the way...
Here's the VHE folder: http://www.mediafire.com/download/15k6b01c5r39izt/Valve%20Hammer%20Editor%20Unofficial%203.5.2.zip

I put mine on program files so it's up to you to place it wherever you want to place it in.

Set everything up, the hlcgs, hlbsp etc.
Make sure you don't have super textures [20 mb or something crazy like that], also make sure that they are all WAD3. If you're not sure, download TexMex and open them, then go to Save Copy -> Wad3. Replace the old texture with the new one.

Next, make a test map. Make sure you put advanced mode when you run the map. Use the Halflife: Counterstrike (full) configuration and simply uncheck the last three boxes. The last thing that you need to do is edit the parameters of the hlcsg and put -nowadtextures in it.

It should look something like this:

The file will be a bit big because I already have all my textures on there, so you might want to use those since they are already Wad3.

Hope I helped, if I left anything out, tell me and I'll edit the post. Good luck! Smilez

AFAIK You can use up to 8 wads. I use 6 and on average use textures from each of them individually..

Wtf? There's no virus on that ._. I'm 100% sure. Can you at least recover it from the vault or something?

Upload the file on either www.virustotal.com or http://virusscan.jotti.org/en and post the results. It's probably a false positive.

Highlighted the error in bold, it's around the bottom , ZHLT requires some form of lighting in a map.
